Beatos
Beatos is an installation made as a continuation of the Chapel series. The twelve pieces were displayed around the room and created specifically for the DePaul Art Museum exhibition in early 2017. In this case, the bodies and garments were sculpted after living artists who posed, choosing a body gesture from classical religious sculptures. The pieces are missing the heads as a symbol of the transitional moment in which living artists are trying to be part of Art History. Therefore, the viewer could have the potential to borrow and/or utilize their bodies in order to possibly become a saint in the Chapel.
